We had such an amazing time on the tiny little island of South Caicos (population ~1000!) and loved having several days to relax and read on the beautiful, empty beaches looking out onto the turquoise waters. The food at the resort was delicious and we enjoyed our few ventures off of the resort. It was such a much-needed vacation!
Our view over the islands from the tiny plane!
View of the resort pool and private beach just beyond it.
Beautiful sunset sky at Triple J's, the backyard "restaurant" with surprisingly delicious food!
We kayaked every day!
Couldn't get enough of our views.
View from our balcony!
Another pretty sight along our bikeride for souvenir shopping.
We loved these waters!
Another local eatery where we enjoyed a yummy conch burger!
Since our main goal for this trip was rest and relaxation, we didn't want to overdo it with activities so we kept it simple with a snorkeling tour that included a trip to a secluded island filled with iguanas, and rejuvenating massages!
Seens from underwater.
Plenty of curious iguanas with breathtaking views to boot.
Quick stop on our tour to check out some incredible starfish!
Sooo enjoying the peace and quiet.
One of our incredible meals on the resort.
Scenes from a long walk along the sand.
With the bartender, Steve- he loved to come up with drinks for us, and we enjoyed our talks with him every time we visited the bar!
Probably our best meal the night before we left.
In the TINY plane to get us from South Caicos to the Providenciales!
And the several hours long layover in Providenciales gave us time to enjoy a gorgeous beachside lunch.
Little did we know how much we'd need it given the overnight delay we ended up having in Atlanta!
More pics HERE!
We were so grateful for this sweet time away and SO grateful for my parents caring for the kiddos so we could have this time away!!! Already dreaming of the 20th anniversary trip...
