Hard to believe the fall season is coming to an end and the holiday season is here! Weekends are continuing to fill up and the air is getting colder but we had a few moments last month of warmer weather and slower-paced days. Our weekends included a beautiful afternoon spent at a nearby nature park, a peek at a 16th century replica galleon ship, a morning of flute choirs, and an afternoon watching a hilarious Star Wars parody done a cappella style.
I went to a birthday party the first weekend of Nov that had a "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" theme, so Maelee's halloween costume was perfect! Here's Brittany and I borrowing the girls' get-ups and trying to imitate their pose :)
(Yeah, I think the girls wore it best. But we probably had more fun!)
Our neighborhood Three Amigos on the last "Walking Wednesday" at school
Loving all the wild animals at the Nature Center a few miles away!
Lilee wasn't so sure, but eventually touched the corn snake!
Maelee was eager to interact with all the creatures :)
Time to enjoy the great outdoors!
Enjoying having sweet Nancy over for the day!
Chocolate chip pancakes with Kaia on their day off.
Lilee got to hang out with the big kids at Kaia's birthday part and the fun she had eating the cupcakes showed all over her face! :)
In the middle of the month, I had my first concert with the flute choir I'm part of now, DC Flutes.
While I'm not the biggest fan of flute choirs, it has been a good experience and the concert ended up having one of my favorite musical moments ever!
Checking out El Galleon while it was docked in the Potomac.
Bonus of being next door to our beloved Cherry Blossom paddle wheeler!
So fun to share the outing with neighborhood pals, Kaia & Elaina
Also happened to be our best evening to view the Super Moon!
Character day at school!
Fancy Nancy won out again :)
CRAZY fire right outside our home a few weeks ago!!!
Still don't know what cause it but thankfully, nothing major was damaged.
The after math of the shed that went down in flames.
Stone Soup celebration at Lilee's school!
So sweet that Nana could join :)
So proud of my mom at her Sweet Adeline's Potomac Harmony Chorus'
"Star Chords" performance!
And just a few of my favorite shots of Lilee at school...
Concentrating so hard!
All of our Thanksgiving fun will be in another post, and the Christmas activities are starting this weekend, so many more pics to come...
