Lilee's FIFTH Birthday!

It's a little odd to be going back to photos of Lilee's 5th birthday in January, when we just celebrated Maelee's 9th birthday last month and are now well into May ... But, each month has gotten busier and busier, so I'm doing all I can to keep these memories documented, even if they don't make it up onto the blog for months after-the-fact!

So rewinding back to almost four months ago, our sweet little Lilee turned FIVE!!! After a fun day at school with cookies to celebrate during her snack time, Nana and Pop-Pop came over for dinner, cupcakes, and presents. She requested meatballs with spaghetti and all things PJ Masks, so that's what she got.

Sweet card from her siblings.
Beautiful outfit from Mee-Maw and Grandpa!

All things PJ Masks...

And a beautiful book from Uncle Dan!

So very loved!

We all joined the PJ Masks fun!

So much fun to celebrate this sweet girl!

And here are some shots from her 5 year "photo shoot!"

More pictures from her actual birthday

Instead of a big party this year, all she asked for was a special afternoon with her bestie, Chloe. So the three of us ventured out to the National Harbor, on an insanely windy day, for Build-a-Bear, ice cream and pizza! (Yes, in that order!)

So strong!

So sweet!

They loved their new stuffed animals!

And they LOVED getting ice cream BEFORE dinner!

Time for pizza!

Such a fun time!

birthday celebration at the National Harbor

These two have been best pals since they were babes and its been so sweet watching their friendship grow.  They sure are going to miss being in class with each other next year!

And I sure am going to miss having my little buddy around this fall when she starts kindergarten.  Hard to believe that our youngest is growing up so fast...

Ringing in a new year!!!

Just over 4 months ago, we happily said goodbye to 2018 and welcomed in 2019 with open arms. There was a lot of heart ache and quite a bit of hardship last year, so we were excited to ring in the new year.

We spent New Year's Eve with our neighbors and had a great time with lots of laughs. We are so grateful for the friends on our little path!

Bring on the new year!

On new year's day, we spent the afternoon at the National Harbor with LOTS of rides on the carousel, some playground play, and enjoying the sights of the Gaylord hotel.

It was a fun start!

We also enjoyed celebrating Pop-Pop's and Lilee's birthdays in January (post on that to come!), a visit  to our alma mater for Steve and Maelee, fun time in the snow, and plenty of other sweet moments!

Proudly wearing one of her Aunt Kim's childhood sweater sets made by her Mee-Maw!

Such a treat to see Dr. Hrabowski at the UMBC swim meet!

We love celebrating Pop-Pop!

And celebrating the awesome start our sweet boy began the new year with!

Enjoying special time with cousin Holland!

Lots of snow meant lots of sledding for all!
On the very same sled Steve's grandfather used as a child!

Hot cocoa treat after the sledding!

Snow ice cream to cap off the day.

More fun in the sun with the neighbors!

They wasted no time licking the bowl clean from some fresh whipped cream for the British themed dinner we hosted in January, which ended with sticky toffee pudding dessert.

Beef Wellington for the main course!

So grateful for this group of friends that we have enjoyed monthly dinners with for over two years!

Maelee loved her sleepover at Nana & Pop-Pop's while we hosted our dinner!

Another birthday!
The kids loved partying with our neighbors to celebrate Marcel's 7th birthday!

Even though May just began before I was finally able to get this post up, the year really did get off to a much more positive note than 2018 did.  We are now in the full on crazy-busy end-of-year mode for the kiddos' schools, but I hope to slowly get caught up with pics of sweet memories here.   Next up, Lilee's birthday post!  Hopefully that is to come soon.
